Port Wine is a fortified wine produced exclusively in the demarcated Douro Valley of Portugal,
then aged and shipped from Oporto.  Port Wine is a designation (a name of origin) and not a type
of wine.  There are many different types of Port.

902 Quinta do Noval 20 Year Tawny Port (Oporto)   15.00
Aged Tawny Ports celebrate the art of oak aging.  Over the years they develop a rich, creamy texture from the wood and turn an intense, golden amber or tawny color.  Made from Tempranillo grapes, this 20-year-old tawny from Noval has a nose of dried fruits, spices, walnuts and almonds with lingering peppery notes.  Concentrated, velvety, persistent and elegant,

903 Graham's 20 Year Tawny Port (Oporto)   15.00
During their long maturing period in oak casks, Old Tawnies undergo subtle color changes.  The deep red hue which characterizes Port's purple infancy gradually gives way to a paler red.  It then becomes amber and eventually takes on a delicate brown, orange tinted color.  The pale amber Twenty Year is light and gloriously smooth with a full, nutty bouquet and rich, soft, lingering aftertaste.

907 Warre's Heritage Ruby Port (Oporto)   6.50
Ruby in color with youthful aromas of red fruits; fresh and persistent on the palate.  Aged in oak casks for an average of three years, then bottled when ready to drink.

342 Chateau Greysac (Mιdoc, Bordeaux)   35.00
Location: Chateau Greysac is located in the Mιdoc region of Bordeaux, to the north of Saint Ιstephe, near the small towns of By and Begadan.

   Classification: Cru Bourgeois since 1978

Vineyards: Greysac has 95 hectares of vineyards on Gunzian gravel rises. The vineyards are planted with 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot. The average age of the vines is 30 years.

Volume: Chateau Greysac produces an average of 45,000 cases per year.

Vinification and aging: The wine is fermented in stainless steel vats. It is then barrel aged for 12 months before bottling. Maceration and fermentation lasts 3 to 4 weeks..

History: Chateau Greysac has a relatively short history as a well known winery. After Baron Francois de Gunzburg and several friends visited the Chateaux in 1973, they purchased it in partnership with the IFINT group. The new owners quickly started a series of renovations that involved replanting much of the vineyard area and updating and modernizing the chais and winemaking equipment.

906 Warre's Warrior Port (Oporto)
This wine is a "Vintage Character" Port and can be thought of as a "super-ruby" or
"premium-ruby" port.  Like Tawny ports the Vintage Character Ports are blended
but the emphasis is on the fruit and richness rather than lightness and delicacy.
